specializing in the treatment of complex and/or co-occurring mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions, which include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and other behavioral, emotional, and social difficulties across the lifespan. She received her Master's degree from New York University's Silver School of Social Work and a dual Bachelor's degree in psychology and professional writing from the University of Hartford. Samantha's clinical training has entailed providing evidence-based treatment at Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx and Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan. These competitive placements served to strengthen her unique dedication and expertise in child and family psychotherapy, specifically around concerns associated with Autism Spectrum Disorders and ADHD.
Upon receiving her Masters degree in Social Work, Samantha began working at ASPIRE Center for Learning and Development in Melville, NY, under the supervision of the highly regarded Dr. Alyson Skinner, Phd, Founder and Director of Skinner Psychological Services, PLLC. During her time at ASPIRE Center, Samantha quickly advanced to coordinating both Therapeutic Recreation Events and Group Programming, as well as supervising a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and advanced trainees in these areas as Coordinator of Therapeutic Services.
Transitioning into private practice has afforded Samantha the opportunity to continue the work she is passionate about in an environment that is accepting and welcoming to all individuals. Samantha utilizes an integrative approach to treatment, which incorporates aspects of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), along with the use of unique techniques, such as humor, self-disclosure, and hands-on learning. However, All treatment is individualized and tailored to clients' needs.
Outside of her clinical work, Samantha enjoys reading, painting, and cooking. She adores her goldfish, dogs and cat; and spending time with her family and friends.
